9 Girls

2000. This was a multiple that explored the intersections of kitschy statues and rather new and revolutionary (then) photoshop filters. The girl on the statue frame was photographed and her portrait was run through nine different filters. Of course I was thinking about "art in the age of digital reproduction" and aesthetics of new media.

I kept a set and gave one set to my dad, and later sold all of them to one person at La Superette. She planned to display them in one giant pile.
